Rock n Wool Winery
This past Saturday Jared’s cousin, Shaun, and Uncle, David Lapacek, open up Rock N Wool Winery. It will be open on Saturday’s from 11 to 5 while supplies last.
Of course – I wanted to be one of the very first customers to support this new endeavor (and of course…drinking wine never hurts either…)
Our friends, Katie and Eric, also joined us for our first visit to the open winery. You’ll be seeing them around the store more often this fall too!Shaun and Kim ran our wine tasting and we learned all about the multiple wines they have been working on. My personal favorite was the Blue Raspberry but I also really enjoyed the Sweet Apple…hmmm..wonder where they got the cider to make apple wine? :)This is just a cool picture I took of some of the wine for sale…Shaun’s wife, Maria, was the perfect hostess to our three little girls.
PS- Our three girls were flower girls in Shaun and Maria’s wedding in the vineyard – see the pictures HERE. They all loved sitting on the stools at the wine bar!And this is the man behind the vineyard – Shaun.Dave took us on a tour of where they make the wine. It’s really quite impressive to see all the work they’ve done.Just a cool picture I took of part of one of the grape presses. And the final stop was a little walk through the vineyard. This was Pip’s favorite part of the visit. My favorite part had to be the wine tasting.
Anyway – I just wanted to share with you all the news that another great local business is open.
Stop by and visit them on Saturday’s at
W7817 Drake Road, Poynette, Wisconsin 53955
And you can ‘like’ them on facebook HERE so you don’t miss any of the great things they are working on!
