PLEASE HELP RECYCLE!
Drop off your plastic bags and canning jars at the orchard and we'll re-use them!
We're always looking for wagons for people to use when they go to our pumpkin patch - feel free to drop off your old or un-used wagons at the orchard!
We're also happy to take any picnic tables you're getting rid of - even if it's just the 'bones' of the table.
Thanks!
Thanks!

STRAWBERRY PICKING!
Yup, I went strawberry picking! pictured above are actual strawberries that my family and I are enjoying RIGHT NOW! So delicious!
My cousin Amie contacted me a few days ago to see if I would be interested in Strawberry Picking...of course! I asked Diane if she would like to come with...she offered to watch the girls instead if I would bring her some berries. I think that was smart thinking on her part :)
So, after some research and planning, we decided to go to a place on Hwy 151. When we dropped the girls off Frank suggested a place in Pardeeville which was way closer. So this is where we ended up going:

pick you own Strawberries
Turns out they are a couple that also brings produce and vegetables up to the Badgerland Produce Auction (one of our outlets for our apples in the fall).
We were worried because we hadn't planned on anything to pick in. We brought some tubs with us but turned out we had nothing to worry about...they had plenty of picking boxes available to us!Of course, I forgot my camera when we were out in the fields doing the picking but we managed to snap a few great shots after we got back to the house to pay. There are LOTS and LOTS of strawberries there and you even get a fun tractor/wagon ride out to the field! I am posing above with one of my boxes of strawberries...around 10.5 lbs!
Here is my cousin Amie with the 10 lbs of strawberries she picked for herself.

A picture of the two flats of strawberries I picked. I was glad Amie convinced me to do two instead of three...that would have been a lot of strawberries! Here I am getting my strawberries weighed. It cost us $1.40/lb to pick our strawberries and that included the boxes and the tractor/wagon ride. I thought it was a good deal.
Amie was so happy that I was blogging about this adventure...she just loves to get her picture taken! Thanks!

Our hands where stained pink after all the picking we did!

And to make everything even more worth it...here's baby Capri enjoying the strawberries for breakfast this morning! The girls just gobbled them up!
