Easter Egg Hunt
I spent this past Tuesday down at the Village Hall with a bunch of other volunteers helping out the Easter Bunny by stuffing some eggs full of candy and fun toys and stickers!
The loot we stuffed in the eggs (and no, the scissors didn’t get included).
The volunteers all working hard.
Annette Curry from Prairie Splendor Bed and Breakfast was my egg stuffing partner. We stuffed the eggs for the 0-3 age group.
The box is starting to fill up with stuffed eggs for this Saturday’s event.
So, please tell you friends and family to be at the Merchant’s Walk Lawn by 10:45am on Saturday, March 27th. Start time is at 11:00 – don’t be late – it goes really fast.
You can also visit with the Easter Bunny, check out the fire trucks and talk with policeman and fireman while you enjoy the hunt. I’ll be there with my kiddo’s – hope to see you too!
A New Van for Markets!
Happy Sunday everyone. Yesterday we woke up to 2-3 inches of snow on the groud – this morning none! I love that the weather is changing!Pictured above is our new van for market going. I’m a bit nervous about the increase in size (height and length) and the lack of windows but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. It will work MUCH better for the weight we have to haul with the apples and it looks fun. I have yet to drive it but Frank and Jared say it’s great!

Sunday Sunday! (Phase II of the Table Transformation)
Sorry that I failed to post once again last Sunday. I had a crazy sinus infection that was making me dizzy – hard to type when everything is spinning. Luckily I’m feeling better so today I’m going to show you some pictures from Phase II of painting those crazy bright blue tables. I decided to ‘rag’ some brown on to the muted color that they were.
I feel that this added some dimension and character to the tables.
If I have time (and energy and ambition) I have a third phase to the table painting project in mind. I’ll let you know later if it happens. I have to wait until spring time to get started though…
Of course, the girls had to work on some painting while mama was doing her ragging.
This time we put them in hats and managed to keep the paint out of their hair. We’re getting smarter.
So many things have been happening here now that the weather is getting nicer. Stay tuned for more updates!
