Opening Day of 2017 Apple Season
On opening day the lovely Karmen Lindner of Karmen Lindner Photography stole my camera and took a few photo’s of folks enjoying the start of the 2017 season. I was thrilled with how beautiful they turned out I thought you would also enjoy seeing them.
You will be seeing these three lovely ladies around the orchard a lot this year – they’re getting old enough that they’re actually SUPER helpful! They’ll also be doing fundraisers with their sports teams some of the weekends to help raise money for equipment and events – I’ll keep you all posted but be prepared for softball, basketball and gymnastic fundraisers!
For opening day they dressed special – Capri was sunshine, Pip was a tree, and Cedi was the “young lady.”
Caramel apples! Yummy!
We’ll have sweet corn for the next few weeks – it’s delicious and we’re growing it right here at the orchard!
The majority of the fall you’ll be seeing me, Kim, behind the register! I’m also the person behind these blog posts, the facebook page, the app and the newsletter. Both Jared and I have control of the instagram account so if something odd is posted it’s all Jared!
This lovely little lady was pretty excited for some apple cider donuts!
One thing we might be doing for fundraisers are caramel apple sundae’s or caramel apple sundae bars. I’ll be sure to post on facebook if there is one happening so you don’t miss out on this special delicious treat!
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the Lapacek’s and the Lindner’s scheming up some fun things to offer you all this apple season! Stay tuned!
A Successful Breathing in Blooms Event
Sunday night was absolutely incredible!!!! We had 30 folks join us for some yoga in the orchard – all ages, sizes, and shapes! The feedback from the participants was amazing!
It was blissful! Thank you so much! ~Meghan V.
My cousin even brought her little baby Carter!
Yogi Amy did an amazing job leading us through an outdoor, peaceful yoga practice.
Awesome evening! Perfect way to end an active weekend! Thank you! ~Emily P.
I know I was supposed to be not thinking about things but I had to sneak a picture or two. I love the sun in this shot!
It couldn’t have been a more perfect night. For shavasana the sun and moon where out at the same time!
I've done a 1000 yoga classes and enjoyed them all but this was so special... truly thankful to our host and instructor for what will likely be my fave class ever. Sun, moon, breeze, amazing scenery, and hour of personal time. I Have so many things to be thankful for! ~Jeannie H.
Thirty amazing people joined us on this great end to our weekend and start to the next week.
We hope to do this again so be sure to like and follow “Lapacek’s Orchard” and “Yogi Amy” on facebook so you don’t miss future opportunities.
Breathing in blooms with this view....we couldn't have asked for a better way to start out the week ~quote & photo by Heather R.
Breathing in Blooms
I'm so excited that Yogi Amy is joining us at Lapacek's Orchard THIS Sunday from 6:30-7:30 to lead a slow flow yoga class IN the orchard IN the apple blossoms! It's going to be an incredible night to enjoy the beauty of the orchard in may, practice yoga, learn from Amy (if you haven't before - she's AMAZING!), and just breathe! This event is open to ALL ages and skill levels!
Cost: Donations to Yoga Amy appreciated
What should you bring and wear?
I would recommend wearing what you’re comfortable in and layers! It’s supposed to get up to 60 on Sunday, last I checked, but it could be cooling down by the time we are doing yoga.
Feel free to bring your yoga mat or an outside blanket! We’ll be doing yoga IN THE ORCHARD, on the grass, and the ground will not be perfect flat.
This is going to be a fun yoga class open for all! If you’ve never done it before and are nervous – don’t be! Yogi Amy is an amazing instructor and will make you feel comfortable!
Facebook Event HERE – spread the word!

Blossom’s and New Photography Policy
I went for a walk through the orchard last night with my daughter and it looks to us like the blooms might start to pop around the first of May. They typically last two weeks but have lasted less than that in the past. Unfortunately I can’t schedule what the trees decide to do. Due to family obligations we have decided to change our policy for photo shoots in the orchard. Please carefully read below to see what our new policies are.
Photo Policy
Photographs are a wonderful way to remember your visit to Lapacek’s Orchard. We encourage visitors to take casual photographs of their visit for their own personal use during our hours of operation and would love if you tagged the orchard @LapaceksOrchard or hashtagged #lapaceksorchard on social media. But, if you are coming to the orchard for the purpose of taking posed photos of people - then you need a photo permit.
The Photography Guidelines outlined here are intended for all guests, but a permit is necessary for those who wish to use the Orchard setting as the background for posed photography. This would include wedding, family, engagement, graduation, prom, senior photos or the like. The permit is needed regardless of whether the photographer is a family member, professional, etc...
Photo Permit is for a one hour session. Click HERE for the PHOTO PERMIT APPLICATION. Please submit the Photo Permit Application with the fee to the Lapacek’s Orchard at least one week in advance. $30 fee payable by cash or check only - NO credit cards accepted.
