PLEASE HELP RECYCLE!

Drop off your plastic bags and canning jars at the orchard and we'll re-use them!

We're always looking for wagons for people to use when they go to our pumpkin patch - feel free to drop off your old or un-used wagons at the orchard!

We're also happy to take any picnic tables you're getting rid of - even if it's just the 'bones' of the table.

Thanks!

Paint, Girls, and a couple of Bright Blue Tables – Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!  I apologize for not posting last week…I just didn’t seem to have the energy I guess.  I have some fun things to share with you today though!

As I’ve mentioned before, the orchard is moving THIS YEAR!  Which means there’s a lot of work and renovation to be done at the Kroncke Road Orchard.  We choose to decorate with things that we find or are going to be thrown away, but we know we can use whenever possible.  We were lucky enough to find these brilliant blue tables that were going to be tossed – they’re PERFECT for our store.032033What’s not perfect is the brilliant blue color fitting in with our rustic/farm decor. So, on Thursday, the girls and I went out and painted it with a can of ‘Ooops’ Paint.  (My other goal is to not buy paint unless there is a truly specific color I’m looking for – I have quite the collection of oops in my basement…).038   I put the girls into old clothes, gave them a container and a brush and they helped me paint these tables!034  They did a really good job too…I’ll definitely have them help again.  036 One thing I learned is that i do need to figure out some sort of ‘do-rag’ that will cover ALL their hair…washing paint out of little girls hair is not super fun (I recommend a thin toothed comb…)037 Capri did a great job getting the lower areas of the table!  Saved my knees at least a little.  035

Papa took one last picture of his ladies at work before he headed back down to the canning operation!

This isn’t going to be the final color of the table’s either.  I have phase II of the painting process that I’m hopefully implementing today.  Depending on how that looks there may or may not be a Phase III completed this spring.  I’ll keep you posted!

This is so cute, a perfect solution for keeping them busy and having fun too. It's worth the mess.
